The Pakistan Political Science Consortium (PPSC) is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to advancing the study and practice of political science in Pakistan. Conceived as a dynamic nexus of scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and political commentators, it seeks to address Pakistan’s pressing political, social, and economic challenges through academic excellence, collaborative research, and evidence-based dialogue by uniting political scientists, policy makers, and political commentators.
By transcending traditional disciplinary boundaries, the PPSC aims to reimagine Political Science for Pakistan and the Global South — fostering indigenous scholarship, encouraging critical inquiry, and promoting inclusive governance rooted in local realities and global perspectives.

Our Approach
Rooted in the intellectual movement of decoloniality, the PPSC emphasizes southern perspectives and indigenous frameworks of governance. It challenges the dominance of Western-centric paradigms, advocating instead for homegrown political thought that reGects Pakistan’s unique experiences, history, and aspirations.
By integrating scholarship with practice, PPSC serves as a bridge between academia and governance, empowering political scientists to contribute more effectively to national development and democratic strengthening.
