PPSC Welcomes Prof. Dr. Rana Eijaz Ahmed as a Patron

A scholar of International Relations and political economy with extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Prof. Dr. Rana Eijaz Ahmad

Mr. Rana Eijaz Ahmed is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and brings with him decades of academic, teaching, and research experience in the discipline of political science and international relations. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, where his research focuses on globalization and its impact on major Asian powers.

His academic background includes an M.Phil in Political Science from Government College University, Lahore, and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of the Punjab. Over the years, he has taught a wide range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including international political economy, Pakistan’s external relations, terrorism and counterterrorism, war studies, political geography, and Western political thought. He has also supervised M.Phil research and coordinated academic programs in diplomacy and strategic studies.

Beyond teaching, Mr. Ahmed has played an active role in academic administration, curriculum development, and quality assurance. He has served on multiple university committees, contributed to national curriculum review processes with the Higher Education Commission, and has been engaged in organizing national and international conferences, seminars, simulations, and policy dialogues. His commitment to student engagement is reflected in his regular discussions on contemporary national and international issues.

Mr. Ahmed has also represented Pakistan’s academic community internationally through conference presentations and invited lectures in the United States, Singapore, and Iran. His research interests broadly include globalization, international relations, Pakistan’s foreign policy, security studies, and the political implications of global economic structures. His association with the Pakistan Political Science Consortium adds valuable depth in teaching excellence, policy debate, and scholarly engagement.
